Peyton received a BA in History from the University of Pennsylvania, where he captained the varsity golf team and achieved Academic All-American status for his final two years. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he spent summers with his family on the Edgartown Great Pond. He resides in West Tisbury with his wife Christina and their daughter Virginia, and his immediate family resides in Manhattan, San Francisco and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
